Tunisia-Nabil Karoui: Qalb Tounes favours consensus government of experts

Qalb Tounes favours a consensus government made up of party or independent experts, party president Nabil Karoui said on Tuesday.

Speaking to reporters after his meeting with Prime Minister-designate Hichem Mechichi, Karoui this government should enjoy broad political support.

For Qalb Tounes, the most important thing is establishing a government of experts to ensure the proper functioning of the State according to programmes and visions in line with the social and economic programme of Qalb Tounes.

That programme grants special importance to fighting poverty and promoting living conditions of Tunisians, he said.

He called to hasten forming a government of experts with the consent of the political spectrum represented in Parliament.
