Tunisia -Nabil Karoui react to the ARP decision

Yesterday, the ARP “Assembly of the Representatives of the People” unanimously approved a draft law to amend the electoral code. Under the recent amendment, Nabil Karoui is forbidden to run for the presidency.

In an official Facebook post, Nabil Karoui warned those who approved the amendment. Karoui stated that national sovereignty remains a red line that shouldn’t be crossed and that Tunisia is not for sale.

Perceiving it as a crushing blow to democracy. Karoui described the happening as a mass suicide that will bankrupt the governing system and its parliamentary blocs.
