Tunisia-Naji Jalloul: “It is not possible to continue running state amid vacancies in many positions” [Video]

Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, head of the National Coalition Party, Naji Jalloul, confirmed that several vital positions continue to remain vacant, particularly at the head of ministries, states, and embassies.

Jalloul pointed out that the position of Tunisian ambassador to Italy continues to be vacant in light of the significance of Tunisia’s diplomatic links with this European country, in which there are many problems related to the Tunisian community there. He likewise noted that a governor has not been designated for Sfax, which is considered the second-largest state after the capital.

In the same context, he believed that the method of running the state is somewhat strange, particularly since the state means institutions and the President of the Republic represents the state, is the highest authority in it, is responsible for its unity and safety, and is the one who coordinates between these institutions as well, stating, “The President of the Republic is elected, has legitimacy, and must be respected, but about the running of the country, the government is considered extremely weak, even disastrous, and has failed at all economic and social levels, even elections…

Jalloul also pointed out that the sole solution to this situation is to hold a real national dialogue that brings together all parties and a national unity government because the situation today is extremely difficult and it is not possible to run the state in this way.
