Tunisia – Namsia: We plan to create 100 corporate citizens in 2024

Minister of Finance, Sihem Boughdiri Namsia, revealed that the goal during the year 2024 is to create 100 corporate citizens, committing to providing the required financing lines for this purpose.

The minister stated, Thursday February 29, 2024 during the supervision of the opening of a special space for corporate citizens at the central headquarters of the Tunisian Solidarity Bank, that the amount was assigned between the years 2023/2024, to the financing of these companies is estimated at approximately 36 million dinars.

She confirmed that during this year, other banks also joined forces, in addition to the Tunisian Solidarity Bank, to fund private companies, such as the Habitat Bank and the Société des Banques Tunisiennes.

She clarified that during the year 2023, 15 citizen companies were financed for 4 million dinars, remarking that the financing ceiling of the Tunisian Solidarity Bank does not surpass 300 thousand dinars, provided that the loan repayment period does not exceed 7 years, with an interest rate of 5 percent and a grace period of one year.

The minister underlined that this space constitutes a privileged framework for welcoming and guiding promoters of civic businesses, training them, supervising them and surrounding them, in addition to managing their financing operations and monitoring their files, underlining that the different sectors are related to the fields of renewable energies, agriculture, waste recovery sectors and industrial sectors, in various regions of the Republic.

She confirmed that the various problems encountered by the promoters of private companies are connected to the rental of the head office and other real estate problems linked to the project, clarifying that the solutions to all the problems will be found in the space of support that has been created.

This occasion was also an opportunity to check the work of training for the benefit of managers of corporate citizens (15 companies) to supervise them and help them prepare their business plans to obtain the necessary funds and permit you to discover the mechanisms and privileges available.

The work of a workshop for managers in charge of private citizen companies within the agencies of the Tunisian Solidarity Bank was also reviewed to further support their capabilities in the field of support and financing. private companies.
