Tunisia – National Guard agent suspected of corruption suspended

The National Guard published, Thursday, September 29, 2022, a brief press release announcing the suspension of an agent suspected of corruption.

It reacted to a widely shared video on social networks featuring one of its agents receiving money from a citizen when he had just fined her for a road offence.

The National Guard said, in its statement, that the agent in question had been called by the General Inspectorate and that it had ordered the opening of an administrative inquiry.
