The National Observatory for New and Emerging Diseases has just reported, on its official website, that 10 confirmed cases of West Nile fever virus have been registered since September 23, 2023 until October 26 a total of 141 suspected cases.
The new cases that were caught following PCR tests are distributed as follows; 5 cases in Tozeur, 1 case in Monastir, 2 cases in Gabès, 1 case in Kef, and 1 case in Sfax in addition to the death of an 88-year-old man from this virus on October 23, 2023 following his hospitalization on 21 of the same month.
