Mounir Houssine, a member of the steering committee of the Tunisian Forum for Economic and Social Rights (FTDES) announced today that approximately 500 primary schools in Tunisia do not have access to drinking water.
He added that the governorates of Kasserine and Kairouan are part of the regions where several schools do not possess drinking water. Houssine similarly condemned the degeneration of educational infrastructure in public schools in general, pointing out the significance of this factor in the educational process.
