The leader of the Tunisian national coalition, Neji Jalloul, voiced his solidarity with Afek Tounes leader Fadhel Abdelkefi, following his travel ban without official judicial authorization.
Jalloul said that the right to travel and the right to a passport are constitutional rights for all citizens and that no citizen may be stopped from traveling without judicial authorization.
In addition, he believed that this kind of practice is harassment and has been employed with a number of other political figures such as Admiral Kamal Akrout.
He still pointed out that these decisions do not revive the confidence of Tunisians in state institutions, in addition to the fact that Tunisia likewise needs foreign investments, and these overruns do not encourage foreign investment or tourism, according to his words.
