Tunisia – New arrest warrant against Sonia Dahmani: judicial source explains

Following the launch of an investigation by the general public prosecutor’s office at the Court of First Instance of Tunis against Sonia Dahmani, the investigating judge at the Court of First Instance of Tunis issued an arrest warrant l against her, and the investigation into this matter is still ongoing.

This case is linked to the fact that the accused, taking advantage of her presence in a television program, accused the Tunisian people of racism, emphasising the existence of practices based on discrimination between people in Tunisia based on Skin colour.

She is notably accused of spreading false rumours, inciting violence and spreading hate speech among the population, according to what was confirmed by the spokesperson for the court of First Instance of Tunis, Mohamed Zitounah, in a statement to the press.
