Tunisia-New INPT members take oath

The new members of the National Authority for the Prevention of Torture (INPT) were sworn in, this Saturday, before prime minister Najla Bouden in the attendance of the president of the Authority Fethi Jarrey. The renewal of the composition of the Commission involves four categories (Associations and organizations for the defence of human rights, Expert in the protection of children, Doctors and retired magistrates). They are Sabeur Ben Abderrazak Amri, Haythem Ben Mekki Ben Chaabane and Saloua Bent Mohamed Barra in the category of associations and organizations for the defence of human rights. Rabeb Bent Noureddine Ayari in the Child Protection Specialist category. Lazhar Ben Brahim Khanchani and Sadok Ben Brahim Laamari in the Retired Judge category. Abir Bent Mohamed Aissaoui (151 votes) and Boutheina Bent Sahbi Louhichi in the Doctors category.

Presiding over the swearing-in ceremony, the head of government reaffirmed the determination of all state institutions to boost the protection of human rights and individual and public freedoms, vowing to battle against any attack on human dignity.
