During a meeting dedicated to preparations for the summer season, the Minister of Transport introduced several projects proposed by the Department of Transport and presented to the Council of Ministers.
These include the building of a new terminal with a covered area of 8,000 m² with an accommodation of 8 million passengers, which will permit Tunis-Carthage Airport to increase its annual capacity to reach 13 million passengers. The minister also noted the construction of a new control tower in the same airport.
This project also provides for the launch of a new train linking Carthage Airport to the city centre of Tunis and a new high-speed train line connecting Carthage Airport to Ennfidha-Hammamet Airport.
