Tunisia-Night protest in Ettadhamen: five young people arrested

Following the night protest which still continues in Ettadhamen city, several arrests took place.

According to Mosaique FM, which cites judicial sources, arrest warrants were issued against five young people accused of illegal gathering and damaging public property.

They are furthermore accused of attacks on security units using flammable products.

Night clashes have taken place since October 14 in several popular districts of Grand-Tunis and in particular at Ettadhamen between certain young people and the police.

As such, the head of the communications office at the Ministry of the Interior, Faker Bouzghaya stated that 19 individuals have been apprehended at Ettadhamen in the past five days; Ten others were arrested last night at the Cité Ezzouhour 4.
