Tests carried out on the family members (six people) of the patient infected with the Coronavirus were negative, said President of the National Observatory of New and Emerging Diseases Nissaf Ben Alaya. They will remain in a 14 days Quarantine and continued monitoring, she added.
Examinations and scanning to identify those who came in close contact with the patient are currently underway to place them in Quarantine, affirmed Ben Alaya in a statement to the TAP agency.
She stressed the need to commit to self Quarantine for suspected cases and comply with the health ministry recommendations, she pointed out that Public force will be employed if Quarantine is violated.
She also clarified tha self-isolation procedure is a preventive measure that is valid in all countries affected by the coronavirus to stop its spread ,protect the health of citizens and reduce infection.
She considered that vigilance is on high-alert in the country to detect incoming suspected cases from infected areas to encircle and limit the virus spread.
