Tunisia- Nissaf Ben Alaya:22 suspected cases of UK COVID strain

Spokeswoman of the health ministry Nissaf Ben Alaya affirmed the existence of 22 suspected cases of the UK strain of the coronavirus. One confirmed case has been recognised, reassured Ben Alayaa, adding that the field investigation showed that there were no other contaminations in the case surroundings.

 

Speaking on the national radion she said that the suspected cases are in Ariana, Kasserine and Bizerte, confirming that inquiries are continuing. The director of the National Observatory for New and Emerging Diseases (ONMNE), announced that the indicators relating to the health situation in the world and in Tunisia are positive, following the drop in the number of deaths and infections, highlighting, in the same context, the high occupancy rate of ICU  beds.
