Tunisia-Nissaf Ben Alaya:40 strains of coronavirus detected in Tunisia

The problem of the mutations of the coronavirus is currently disturbing the whole world. As Britain has taken out containment operations over the identification of a new strain of the coronavirus, several nations including Tunisia have decided to suspend their travel with the UK.

Speaking to Mosaique FM, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Health Nissaf Ben Alaya stated in this context that 40 strains of this virus were found in Tunisia, but are not all distinct from the initial strain. “These are normal strains similar to the initial strain, but the virus has undergone multiple variations in Tunisia,” she reassured.

Also according to Ben Alaya, the new strain discovered in Great Britain was not detected in Tunisia, it presents, according to her, a great speed of propagation.
