The Ministry of Education has decided to revoke the monthly school fees (15 dinars) for the enrollment of students in preparatory classes, emphasising that the annual registration fees (4 d) will be paid, through bank cards or by post or by mobile phone.
Through this initiative, the Ministry of Education seeks to generalize preparatory classes, to embed the principle of equity and equal opportunity in education, according to a circular transmitted by the ministry to the regional commissariats of education, primary school inspectors and principals of public and private primary schools.
In addition, the ministry revealed that disabled children, aged between 5 and 8, will have the opportunity of accessing preparatory classes, during the 2023-2024 school year, with the possibility of registering, on an exceptional basis, children aged 9 years.
Note that the 2023-2024 school year begins on October 2, 2023, for students in preparatory classes in public and private schools.
The Ministry of Education has, in this sense, called on the teachers of the preparatory classes to join their schools, from September 14th.
