The Ministry of Families, Women, Children and the Elderly announces in a press release that child protection delegates have not obtained any notification regarding the individual attracting minor children via the Internet. It highlights its commitment to following this case to guarantee immediate care for child victims, once their identities have been precisely established, in accordance with the law and the results of ongoing investigations.
In reaction to a publication on social networks suspecting a deliberate intention to attract, manipulate and threaten minor children via the Internet, the competent judicial and security authorities immediately launched inquiries to reveal the details of this case.
The ministry also recalls the free toll-free number 1809, made available to the public to provide listening, psychological support, and advice and receive remote reports concerning different situations endangering the best interests of the child.
This service ensures instant receipt of notifications and transfers them to child protection delegates, thus allowing to preserve the mental health of children and families. It is managed by specialist psychologists from the ministry.
