Tunisia-Photo: Noureddine Bhiri calls on President Kaïs Saïed to apologize to the victims of the former regime

President of the Ennahdha bloc Noureddine Bhiri affirmed that he had called on President Kaïs Saïed to offer an official apology to the victims of the former regime since he represented the state.
In a Facebook statute dating to June 15, 2020, Bhiri stressed that the file of victims of the former regime needs to be prioritized while accompanying the families of the martyrs and the wounded.
For Bhiri, these apologies will affirm the state’s respect for the provisions of transitional justice and will begin the execution of the results collected by the Truth and Dignity Commission.
“Judging those involved, apologizing to the victims and compensating them constitutes, according to the elected representative of the Islamist party, a necessary step towards the establishment of national reconciliation for all Tunisians without exception.
