Secretary-General of the Tunisian General Labor Union (UGTT), Noureddine Taboubi, met the new European Union ambassador to Tunisia, Marcus Cornaro, this Friday, November 20, 2020.
During the meeting, Taboubi talked about the situation in Tunisia and compiled the principal achievements made since 2011 while pointing out the hurdles and expectations of the Tunisian people concerning development and employment.Taboubi called, in this context, for the EU to support employment and development in Tunisia.
“Tunisia is confronted with important social and economic challenges which necessitate the strengthening of private investments in interior regions and the promotion of the employment of young graduates, highlighting the importance of supporting Tunisia in its economic transition”, he said in particular, according to a statement from the UGTT.
