The governorate of Medenine recorded one new death due to the coronavirus, bringing to death tally to 13 in the region since the start of the pandemic, a source from the regional health directorate of Medenine announced.
The same source added that 12 new infections have been recorded, distributed as follows: 4 Djerba Houmt Souk, 2 Médenine South, 2 Djerba Midoun, 1 Djerba Ajim and 3 Ben Guerdane.
Out of the 12 cases, there are 2 cases of agents from the STEG district of Ben Guerdane, bringing the number of people infected with this virus in the aforementioned district to 4 while 3 members of the educational staff, 2 students and an employee of the International Organization for Migration in Ben Guerdane were also among the patients.
