Tunisia-Only 20% of domestic helpers have health insurance

80% of household helpers don’t possess health insurance, according to a field survey managed by the National Union of Tunisian Women, during the months of September and October 2020. 42% of household helpers are from the  Northwest and Central West, maintained the same source.

The purpose of this study is to assist the household help sector, with financial aid or in kind, in order to enhance their working conditions, stressed Emna Hamrouni, head of studies and research at UNFT.
