Tunisia-Opening of SMS donations to SOS Children’s Villages

SOS Children’s Villages association announced on Monday, April 19, 2021, that the government has accepted its request to assemble donations via SMS from the first day of Ramadan.
The association explained that the price of an SMS is 1 dinar and considered a “sadaqah” adding that the value of the SMS, will shift to reach the amount of Zakat El Fitr as soon as it is announced by the mufti, and this, for three months, until July 13, 2021. The SMS are to be sent to 85510 for mobile clients.
SOS Children’s Villages thanked the presidency of the government, the national telecommunications authority, the telephone operators Tunisie Telecom, Ooredoo, Orange and the service company Digital Virgo Tunisie, for giving up their share in this operation.
