Tunisia-Parliament clarifies “hiding” correspondence written by the Libyan parliament

The House of People’s Representatives (HPR), on Saturday, issued a letter to clarify what was published on “hiding” correspondence from the Libyan Parliament.
The correspondence was written to House Speaker Rached Ghannouchi by the president of the committee on external relations and international cooperation of the Libyan Parliament to prepare a visit of the Libyan Parliament Speaker to Tunisia.
Chief of staff to the HPR speaker Habib Khedher maintained that the correspondence “was not conveyed through the official channels, which needed discussing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to verify its authenticity.”
The reply of the Department of Foreign Affairs “came after programming a direct meeting bringing Ghannouchi together with Libyan Parliament Speaker Aguila Salah, which took place on February 8 in Amman, Jordan,” Khedher said
He indicated that an invitation was sent on this occasion to Aguila Salah to visit Tunisia, except that the visit was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
