The House of People’s Representatives (HRP) communicated its complete backing to MPs Zouhaier Maghzaoui and Samia Abbou, following terrorist threats against the two deputies.
The HPR requested authorities to begin an inquiry and to give the required protection to the MPs and to guarantee their safety.
The parliament holds that the act of terrorism is endangering the people at a time when all national stakeholders are assembled against the hurdles posed by the coronavirus.
In an issued statement, the HRP said”The enemies of religion and the nation will not succeed in dispersing efforts and arising confusion.

Secretary-General of Echaab Movement Zouheir Maghzaoui told the Interior Ministry warned him of severe terrorist threats which could lead to “attacks on his physical integrity.”.

In a declaration TAP, he said to have received a phone call from the National Security District of Carthage notifying him of threats considered serious against him, without presenting details on the nature of these threats.
He said the interior ministry vowed to strengthen measures to guarantee his protection following these threats.
Maghzaoui is already provided with close protection since March 2014.
