Tunisia-Parliament: hearing session on use of drones

The House of People’s Representatives revealed today that the Defense and Security Commission has decided to organize a hearing session with representatives of the Ministry of Transport as part of the examination of the proposal of Bill 09-2023 relating to the organization of granting authorizations for the use of drones in Tunisia.

In Tunisia, the usage of drones is still hampered by the lack of an adequate legislative framework to regulate this area. Using drones in Tunisia was only possible via the acquisition of an authorization issued by the Ministries of the Interior, Defense, Transport and Equipment.

The new proposal on the use of drones presented by 20 deputies aims to organize this activity and simplify the use of drones in their work for journalists and artists.
