Tunisia – Parliament: Lifting of immunity of MP Sami Ben Abdelali from Italy constituency

The Parliament office decided, this Tuesday, after a closed meeting, to lift the immunity of the MP for the constituency of Italy, Sami Ben Abdelali, at the request of the Ministry of Justice, after a complaint filed against him, for embezzlement, by Tunisian diplomatic authorities in Italy.

The withdrawal of immunity was determined following the vote of the members of the office, by 48 votes for, 32 against and 02 abstentions.
