Tunisia-Parliament presidency condemns attack on MP Oussama Sghaïer

The presidency of the House of People’s Representatives denounced on Tuesday “the violent attack ” in front of the parliament, of Ennahdha bloc MP, Oussama Sghaïer.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the presidency called on the security authorities to initiate an inquiry into this attack and to provide protection to elected officials.

The presidency also called on political parties and national organizations to denounce violence from whatever source, asking them to preserve national peace and uphold the values of democracy.
