Tunisia – Parliament validates law to regularize situations of 6,000 construction site workers

The 2024 finance law includes a chapter seeking to regularize the situation of construction site workers in Tunisia. The government intends to include 6,000 agents in a new tranche of regularization for construction site workers in 2024, with the total number of these workers assessed to be more than 656 thousand. This initiative is part of the state budget for 2024, echoing the government’s efforts to control salary expenditure, which is expected to amount to about 23.7 billion dinars during the year 2024.
