The Pasteur Institute of Tunis is organizing October 14, 2023, in collaboration with the Personalized Medicine in North Africa project, the Association of Cancer Patients (AMC), and the Association of Young Researchers of the Pasteur Institute of Tunis at large amphitheatre a special day in honour of Pink October, breast cancer awareness month.
This day will be a chance to examine the significance of genetic testing in the fight against breast cancer. Three specialists will share their knowledge and concrete examples on:
the “Place of genetic tests in the diagnosis of breast cancer” by Dr Yosr Hamdi (assistant professor at the Biomedical Genomics and Oncogenetics laboratory at the Pasteur Institute in Tunis and coordinator of the PerMediNA project)
“Place of genetic testing in the management of breast cancer” by Dr Nesrine Mejri (associate lecturer in medical oncology at Abderrahman Mami Hospital and founding member of AFSOMA)
“Place of genetic testing in the prevention of breast cancer” by Dr. Neila Belghith (Professor of medical genetics at Charles Nicolle Hospital in the congenital and hereditary diseases department and Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of Sfax)
