Tunisia – PCR tests: One laboratory closed, authorizations withdrawn from eight others

Notwithstanding the campaigns carried out by the Ministry of Health to deal with all kinds of overruns linking to the development of PCR tests, the situation is still the same in private laboratories.

It is in this context that the Minister of Health Faouzi Mehdi announced, this Friday, November 6, 2020, during a hearing at the parliament, the closure of a laboratory for overruns. He said that the authorizations to carry out such tests were also withdrawn from eight other laboratories for the same reason.

The Minister of Health recalled at the same time that the number of public laboratories carrying out this test reached 22, against 54 in the private sector.
