Member of the PDL political bureau Ali Bejaoui announced today that the state of exception established since July 25 does not permit the authorities to execute a number of reforms. Bejaoui voiced reservations regarding the draft of the new Constitution revealing that it undermines the foundations of the Tunisian social model and jeopardises the civility of the State.
The speaker likewise told the media that the President of the Republic will have broad prerogatives condemning the lack of mechanisms to control or dismiss the Head of State during or after his term. “It is a shame to accept such a project! ” said Bejaoui
