The spokesperson for the Tunis Court of Appeal, Habib Torkhani revealed that 11 defendants will appear before the criminal chamber specializing in financial corruption cases at the Tunis court of first instance.
Torkhani added that the aforementioned chamber is dedicated to dealing with this affair. The defendants were apprehended for forgery and administrative and financial corruption.
All requests for release have been refused, according to Torkhani. He specified that the so-called phosphate extraction and transport case involves 11 suspects, including 5 in detention, 5 at liberty and another accused on the run.
