Crowds of people flocked vaccination centres that opened Sunday in the governorate of Gafsa.

Launched at the initiative of the President of the Republic Kaïs Saïed, the open vaccination day aims to accelerate vaccination amid a high spread of the virus in the country.

Whether enrolled or not on the evax platform, any person from the 40 age group can go to the vaccination centre in his region given that he has an identity document (national identity card or passport).

Foreigners residing in Tunisia and aged 40 years and over can additionally be vaccinated without prior registration required, the Ministry of Health said in a statement.
