Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, the regional director of civil protection Mounir Riabi announced that a fire broke out today in a tomato factory in Medjez El Bab in the governorate of Beja.
According to our speaker, the fire began in the factory’s cooling space during maintenance.
According to the same source, civil protection agents intervened to extinguish the fire and curb its spread.
It should be noted that approximately 300,000 dinars of damage were reported due to the fire without recording any human damage.
