Tunisia-PM Bouden stresses the interest in benefiting from the Egyptian inspiring success story led by Sisi

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi asserted Friday to Tunisia’s Prime Minister Najla Bouden Egypt’s complete support for Tunisia and the efforts of President Kais Saied and the new administration to achieve stability, construction and development for the benefit of the brotherly Tunisian people.

On her part, PM Bouden emphasised the interest in benefiting from the Egyptian inspiring success story led by President Sisi, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.

 

Sisi held discussions this morning, Friday, with Bouden in Paris on the sidelines of the International Conference on Libya hosted by France.

The meeting discussed the prospects for bilateral relationships between the two brotherly nations, where the political will and the common desire to strengthen cooperation frameworks between Egypt and Tunisia.

The latest developments of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam file were further examined. Sisi expressed his appreciation for Tunisia’s support for Egypt’s position to adhere to a comprehensive and legally binding agreement on filling and operating the Dam, which was reflected in the resolution issued by the UN Security Council.

They further discussed the developments of a number of regional issues of common interest, particularly the situation in Libya.

Sisi and Bouden agreed in this regard on the significance of strengthening the relevant Egyptian-Tunisian coordination frameworks, given that Egypt and Tunisia represent two direct neighbours that share an extended border with Libya.
