Prime minister-designate Habib Jemli requested from president Kais Saied another month to pull together a governing alliance from a politically fragmented parliament, the presidency announced.
Jemli said that the approach used in selecting the government members is based on the standards of integrity, competence, management ability and vision.
He further emphasised that the brand-new government will be “that of all Tunisians and the fate of Tunisia is the duty of all political parties, despite their affiliation.
He estimated the previous period devoted to forming the government was not a waste of time as it permitted to put in position new tools and methodologies for government work which will contribute in return to the success of the action of the next government team.
