Tunisia-PM Elyes Fakhfakh: Chawki Tabib is not a magistrate

Prime minister Elyes Fakhfakh pointed out that the National Anti-Corruption Authority (INLUCC), President Chawki is not a judge to decide whether or not to the law was violated.

In an interview with Nawaat, he explained that the judiciary will announce whether the law was breached, adding that the case is currently being investigated by an administrative inspection commission in which he doesn’t even know of its composition, in addition to a possible legal action. He assured that the treatment of this file is a lesson in terms of democracy.

Fakhfakh ensured that he is not at fault in this case and accusation of surpassing the reporting deadlines is incorrect because the deadlines have all been suspended because of the COVID-19 crisis.
