Tunisia-PM Elyes Fakhfakh discusses with legal specialists on Delegation of power

Prime Minister Elyes Fakhfakh, on Wednesday afternoon, met with constitutional law professors Slim Laghmani and Kamel Ben Massoud at the Government Palace in Kasbah.

He heard their views on the draft law on delegating power to the Prime Minister to issue decree-laws, pursuant to Paragraph 2 of Article 70 of the Constitution.

The two experts stressed the need to ensure that the spirit of article 70 of the Constitution is respected, said a Prime Ministry statement.

They also had meetings, in the same context, with members of the government’s committee responsible for negotiating that bill.
