Tunisia-PM Hichem Mechichi invited to visit Algeria

Prime minister Hichem Mechichi had a telephone conversation on Monday 4 with his Algerian counterpart Abdelaziz Jerad.

In addition to the common desire to increase diplomatic, economic and commercial bonds between the two nations, the two senior officials considered it important to grant new tax privileges for Algerian and Tunisian goods in order to strengthen trade between the two countries.

According to a statement by the presidency of the government, the two men also emphasised the necessity to promote border regions.

According to the same source, the PM was invited to go to Algeria on an official visit as soon as possible.
