Tunisia-PM Hichem Mechichi strongly condemns the Nice attack

Prime minister met this Saturday, October 31, 2020, with the Ministers of Justice, Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs. A meeting that focused on the terrorist attack in Nice in which a Tunisian, Ibrahim Aissaoui, is involved.

The head of government strongly condemned the terrorist attack, which he described as “a coward and barbaric targeting peaceful citizens in a calm and reassuring place.” As such, he expressed “Tunisia’s solidarity with the government and the friendly French people”.

During this meeting, it was addressed the investigation launched in Tunisia to reveal the underside of the terrorist operation and to unmask all the elements which would have participated in it.

He asked the justice and interior ministers to provide all the support and cooperation with the relevant French services coming within the framework of this investigation.
