Tunisia-PM Mechichi orders in-depth audit in the environment sector

Against the backdrop of the imported waste affair Italy prime minister Hichem Mechichi on Tuesday, December 22 ordered an in-depth audit within the Ministry of Local Affairs and the Environment.

The resolution comes after a high-level meeting with officials from the public audit and control services. This audit will further involve all establishments attached to the aforementioned department and which are working in the environment sector.

In this sense, the PM  stressed the necessity to preserve public money and to concretize the principles of good governance.
