“We oppose the mentality and policy of the sacrifice,” Prime Minister Hichem Mechichi stated in an interview “Al Wataniya 1,” contemplating that following the Sbeitla tragedy, the State had shouldered its responsibilities by removing the Kasserine governor whom he characterised as a “competent” official.
Mr Mechichi had chosen to dismiss the Kasserine governor following the incident of October 13 in Sbeitla during which a civilian was killed after the demolition of a street stall by the municipality team while he had been asleep there.
