Prime minister Hichem Mechichi chaired the meeting of the National Commission to Combat Coronavirus, according to a press release by the Prime Ministery.
The PM was briefed comprehensively on the spread of the Coronavirus in the various governorates. On the occasion, he stressed the necessity to adhere to the various measures taken at the national and regional levels in order to prevent the negative developments of the virus spread and to secure real-time dealing with the developments of the epidemiological situation, moment by moment.
Mr Mechichi also highlighted that the outcomes achieved so far are still below the hoped expectations, emphasising in this context the necessity to intensify efforts and work to benefit from all available scientific and technological capacities and progress methods of dealing with the pandemic, reacting to it and overcoming difficulties and obstacles in a timely manner.
On the occasion, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of good management of the epidemic crisis in its various organizational and logistical aspects, recommending in the same context the necessity of applying all measures and enforcing the law on every violator.
