Prime Minister Hichem Mechichi received on Wednesday Palestinian ambassador in Tunis Hayel Fahoum at the governmental palace. During the meeting, Mr Mechichi affirmed the necessity to open up brand-new outlooks for economic collaboration between Tunisian and Palestinian businessmen in Tunisia as well as in Africa.
Mechichi affirmed the steadfast support of the Tunisian people and government for the Palestinian people, calling in this regard, for the importance of taking concrete steps on the path of defending the Palestinian rights.
Mr Fahoum on his part stated the meeting had granted the opportunity to reaffirm the significance of joint diplomatic action between the two countries in supporting the initiative of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to hold an international conference for the settlement of the conflict in the Middle East, in compliance with the international law and the establishment of an independent State with Al Quds as its capital.
