Tunisia – PM Mechihci to travel soon to Geneva to accelerate import of vaccines

Speaking at today plenary session, Minister of Health Faouzi Mahdi announced that prime minister Hichem Mechichi will be travelling to Geneva very soon to meet the Director-General of the WHO, to discuss with him the modalities to accelerate the deliveries of vaccine doses that Tunisia should obtain under the Covax initiative.

The minister assured that out of 4.5 million doses that Tunisia only 250,000 were delivered under the initiative and Mr Mechichi will discuss, precisely, with the Director-General of WHO, the means to solve this slowness.
