Speaking to Al Wataniya, prime minister Hichem Mechichi said that a lockdown is not possible due to the ongoing presence of the Coronavirus.
He emphasised that the health situation is currently very challenging and will continue so in the coming period.
Mr Mechichi also pointed out that “the state is not powerless in dealing with this virus,” adding that “this pandemic will be besieged.”
He also remarked, “We did not know a first wave and a second wave for this virus, but rather we are facing the pandemic.”
