Tunisia-PM Youssef Chahed unveils new details for the upcoming tourist season

PM Youssef Chahed affirmed that proper precautions have been made in order to guarantee the success of this year tourist season. Security and military forces are on standby for any threats, especially with escalated tension in the Libyan borders.

In an official statement to Tunis Afrique Presse, on June 1st, 2019. PM Youssef Chahed hailed the tremendous efforts of security and armed forces in preventing terrorism and maintaining security. He said: “with high precision and vigilance, challenges of properly maintaining the country’s security have been doubled during the sacred month of Ramadan.”

Moreover, he pointed out that all indicators promise an outstanding beginning for the tourist season. Especially with the recent Al’ Ghriba pilgrimage and the increased number of booking in many coastal and inland areas. Further, he emphasized that bets shall remain steadfastly for the critical success of national exams, the return of Tunisians from abroad and the ultimate success of the tourist season in summer in especial regard to security levels. An outcome that would support the economyemployment and the promotion of development in regions.

He continued in the same context, that terrorist threats still exist, which requires increased vigilance on the part of the government and citizens.
