Tunisia-Political parties completely objected to Turkish activity on Tunisian soil

Several political parties stated they strongly decline “all Turkish action on the Tunisian territory” directed at “backing militias and terrorists” and “transferring mercenaries to neighbouring Libya.”
They cautioned against “the dim” policies embraced by Tunisian authorities when it comes to Turkey’s actions in the region.
The parties, namely the Popular Current, the Workers’ Party, the Socialist Party, Al-Baath movement, Tunisia Forward and Al-Qotb party, published a collective declaration asking “a clear position” against “any foreign military presence in the region” after a Turkish medical aid plane arrived late on Thursday evening at Djerba-Zarzis airport.
The parties called on the President of the Republic to exercise a cleared position as regards Turkey’s attempts to have an “a presence in the region” […] which represents “a threat to regional security and peace.”
They denounce all efforts designed to push Tunisia to be part of “regional axes” to the loss of its security and stability and Libya’s.
“The uncertainty and confusion marking Tunisia’s ties with Turkey, particularly concerning the Libyan file, deepen fears of Tunisians to see Turkish support for the militias and terrorist groups in Libya increase from the Tunisian territory,” read the statement.
According to them, the Turkish news agency said “the plane that landed in Djerba was carrying medical aid to Tunisia,” while the Presidency of the Republic said late on Thursday evening the plane “is carrying medical aid to Libya and that Tunisia will ensure its delivery.”
Meanwhile, foreign media said “Tunisia was not aware of the arrival of the Turkish plane” and “authorities were faced with a fait accompli,” reads the statement issued by the parties.
These parties announced they are completely opposed to any foreign interference in Libya, repeating confidence in the ability of Libyans to overcome the crisis and restore stability in their country.
