The agents of the passenger control unit at the customs border office at the port of La Goulette succeeded on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, in seizing a large number of drug pills hidden in the luggage of a Tunisian residing abroad.
Officers suspected a truck with a foreign registration number. On scanning, suspicious objects were discovered in an air conditioner. The search revealed two sachets containing 10,088 ecstasy pills.
The drugs were seized and the suspect was transferred to the security units, a statement from the Tunisian customs directorate said.
