Tunisia – Power cut at the dialysis center of Jendouba hospital

The dialysis department of Jendouba hospital, which welcomes some 120 patients, including children, was denied electricity yesterday, Friday.

The patients had to be evacuated to the dialysis centres of neighbouring clinics, such as that of Tabarka, Béja or Siliana. The regional director of health confirmed that the breakdown would be the result of work in another wing of the hospital. The governor of Jendouba, for his part, assured that he has requested the STEG district of the region to connect the dialysis service to the electric current, as soon as possible, even with provisional solutions, the time to repair the breakdown.
